Polyquip Fabrication Industries

We’ve been at Kullappa Circle for a long time now. It’s not the quietest place in Mulund West, but it’s where we do our work. Most days it’s just us in room 303 or down in the shop area. We handle various types of fabrication. Some days that means cutting metal for hours, and other days we are just putting things together. It gets pretty hot during the afternoons, especially when the machines have been running since morning. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of people. It’s just a small group of us who know how to use the tools. People from the neighborhood usually just walk in if they have a question. We don't have a fancy website or someone to answer the phones with a script. You usually just talk to whoever isn't holding a welding torch at that moment. The traffic around the circle can be a real headache, but we’ve lived here so long we barely notice it anymore. We started out with just a couple of machines and slowly added more as we could afford them. It’s not always the cleanest work, and our clothes usually have some grease or dust on them by the end of the shift. We just try to do a decent job so people keep coming back. It’s a simple way to make a living, and it works for us. We keep our overhead low and our focus on the actual work.
