We are based at Krishna Residency, in apartment E 1202. This is at the Atmaram Compound, tucked behind Sunder Nager in Malad West, Mumbai. Living and working in Mumbai means space is always tight, but this spot works for us. Polymeters Response International Ltd U K operates out of this residency, which is a bit different from a standard commercial building. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but that keeps the noise down a little bit. Malad is a crowded place, and finding our compound can be a bit tricky the first time if you don't know the landmarks. We spend most of our time dealing with meters and international coordination. Since we have a connection to the UK side of things, our hours can be a bit strange sometimes to match up with their clocks. The office is basically a few rooms filled with equipment, papers, and laptops. It’s a lived-in space. We don't have a big sign outside or a receptionist. Usually, someone is just making tea in the small kitchen or on a conference call. It’s a very local way of doing things, even if the work goes beyond Mumbai. We’ve been in this compound for a while now and we like the familiarity of the neighborhood. It is just a regular group of people doing their jobs in a quiet corner of Malad. We make do with the space we have and keep things moving.
