You can find us at Reay Road 1. It’s an old part of the city, and the building we’re in has a lot of history to it. Our office is fairly basic—just some desks, chairs, and filing cabinets that are starting to get a bit full. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at stacks of paper. People come in all day looking for work, and we talk to them about what they can do. It’s a lot of talking and listening. The windows look out onto the street, and you can see the trains passing by nearby, which makes the whole place shake a little bit. We don't have fancy carpets or glass walls. It’s just a functional space where we try to keep everything organized. Sometimes it feels like we're drowning in resumes, but we try to keep a system going. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp. The air conditioner is a bit noisy, but it’s better than the heat outside. It’s a straightforward environment without any frills. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor; we’re just here to do the daily tasks. It gets quiet in the late afternoon, which is when we finally get a chance to catch up on the filing. It’s a steady kind of life here on Reay Road. We usually close the shutters right around six and head for the station ourselves.
