Pavan Novelty

Our shop, Pavan Novelty, is up on the second floor at 33/B on Ajmera Road. It’s very close to the Mumba Devi Temple in the Charni Road area. Being on the second floor means people have to walk up the stairs, but we still get a lot of visitors who know we are here. We carry a lot of small decorative items, bangles, and little trinkets that people like to buy for festivals or gifts. The space is a bit cramped because we have boxes stacked in every corner. It’s just the way it is when you have so many different small pieces to sell. The light isn't the best in the hallway, but once you step inside, it’s quite bright with all the colorful stock. We spend a lot of time counting inventory and making sure things are priced correctly. The temple nearby brings in a lot of crowds, especially on specific days of the week, so it can get quite loud outside. We’re a small team, mostly family, and we’ve been working in this building for years. It’s a traditional kind of business where we know our regulars by name. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people coming by while they’re out shopping in Charni Road. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in a busy part of the city.
