Our place is over in Lashkar, Gwalior, specifically tucked away in Daal Bazar. If you are familiar with the area, you know Argade Lane and Chobe Ka Bada. That is exactly where you will find us. The bazar is always crowded and noisy, with people moving goods back and forth all day long. It’s a very traditional part of the city. We’ve been operating Patni Computers Systems from this spot for quite some time. The building itself is old, like most things in this part of Gwalior, but it has a lot of character. We deal with all sorts of computer issues and parts here. It can get pretty dusty because of the market outside, so we spend a fair amount of time just keeping the equipment clean. Customers usually walk in after doing their other shopping in the bazar. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. It’s just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of wires. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three or four people show up at once asking about their machines, but we manage. The heat in Gwalior can be tough in the summer, so we keep the fans going at full speed. It’s a local business through and through. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around here. It’s just how we do things in Daal Bazar, keeping it simple and focusing on the computers and the people who need them.
