Parashuram Sitaram Desai

This place is over in Bandra East, at 52/2468. It’s a bit of a maze back here in the residential blocks. We’ve been operating out of this space for a long time. It’s really just a modest room where everything happens. There isn't much in the way of decoration, just the essentials like a couple of desks, a fan, and some cabinets for all the documents. The walls are an off-white color that has faded over the years. Outside, you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood—kids playing cricket, neighbors talking, and the occasional scooter zooming past. We don't have a big staff or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find me sitting at the main desk surrounded by papers. It’s a very personal way of doing things. I handle most of the stuff myself. The light comes in through a small window that looks out onto the common corridor. It’s not a corporate office by any means, but it works for what I do. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back while we have some tea. People who know the address usually find it okay, but for others, it takes a bit of looking around. It’s just a quiet spot in Bandra where the work gets done steadily. I’ve lived and worked in this area long enough to know the rhythm of the streets.
