Pagpun Digital Private Limited is tucked away on the ground floor of Patel Chawl, number 46A. We are down Balmiya X Lane in the Wanjawadi area of Mahim. If you know Mumbai, you know how these lanes can be. It’s a very local feel, very grounded. Being on the ground floor means we see people walking past the window all the time. There is always some noise from the neighborhood, kids playing or people talking, but it becomes background noise after a while. The office space is compact. We’ve had to be smart about where we put the desks and the printer. It’s an old building, so the walls are thick, which helps keep it a bit cooler in the summer. We handle our digital projects from this small corner of Mumbai City. The pin code is 400016. It’s not a fancy glass building, but it’s ours. We usually step out to the main road for tea or to grab something from the local shops. Mahim is a busy place, and being in a chawl means we are right in the middle of it all. There’s a certain honesty to working in a space like this. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and we’re there at our laptops. It’s a practical way to run a business without all the extra stuff that doesn’t really matter for the work.
