We are tucked away in Dawar House on Jivaji Lane, right at Shop No. 4 on D. N. Road in Fort. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded and fast-paced the Fort area is. Our agency has been here for quite a while, operating out of this small shop. The building is old, like most things in this part of town, with high ceilings and that specific Mumbai smell of old paper and dust. We handle various types of agency work, which means we are often busy with paperwork, deliveries, and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. Being on Jivaji Lane means we are right in the middle of the commercial hub. We see all kinds of people walking past our door every day. The shop is small and filled with files and ledgers. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes it gets chaotic when several things happen at once, but we've learned to handle the rush. We don't use any fancy management tools; we just use our notebooks and our phones to keep things moving. Dealing with businesses in Fort requires a bit of grit because everyone is in a hurry. We just show up, open the shutters, and get through the long list of tasks we have for the day. It’s just how life is in the heart of the city and we wouldn't change it.
