You can find Padmavati Gift Artices at Shop No 109 inside the Laram Shipping Center. It’s a well-known spot because it’s so close to Andheri Station on the West side. Being in a shipping center sounds more important than it is, it’s really just a bunch of small shops all clustered together. Our unit isn't very large, but we make use of every inch of wall space to hang things up. We sell a lot of wall clocks and some of those decorative vases that people like for their homes. The lighting in the corridor outside isn't the best, so we try to keep our shop bright so people can see us. It gets really busy on the weekends when people are out shopping for weddings or housewarming parties. I’ve worked here for a long time and I’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but the shop stays pretty much the same. We have a small stool for customers to sit on if they are waiting for something to be packed, but mostly people are in a hurry. The rain can be a problem sometimes, the walls get a bit damp, but we just wipe them down. It’s just me and one other guy who helps with the cleaning and moving the heavy boxes around. We don't do anything fancy, just sell gifts to whoever needs one.
