Our unit is located in SEEPZ, which is that big special economic zone in Andheri East. We are specifically at Unit Gi 14 in Sdf 7Th. If you’ve ever been to SEEPZ, you know it’s like a little city inside the city. P V Power Technologies has been operating out of here for some time now. We focus on power tech, which mostly means we deal with a lot of technical components and assembly work. The air conditioning in the unit is always humming, and there’s usually a lot of focus needed for what we do. It isn’t the kind of place where you’ll see fancy decorations. It is a working floor with tools and parts everywhere. We have a crew that knows their way around a circuit board pretty well. Working in an export zone means there is a lot of security and rules to follow every day when we walk in. Lunch breaks are usually quick because there is always a deadline or a shipment that needs to be ready. We aren't a huge company, but we’ve got enough people to handle the load. Most of us have been working in Andheri for years, so we know the local chai spots and the best way to avoid the monsoon flooding on the way to the station. It’s technical work that requires a lot of sitting and checking small details over and over until they are right. It keeps us busy from morning till night.
