Our office is tucked away in Goregaonkar Wadi, specifically at 37 B 26 along HG Road in the Gamdevi area of Mumbai. If you know the Grant Road area, you know it’s a busy part of town. We’ve been running Origami Consultants from this spot for a while. It’s a classic Mumbai setup—a bit tight on space but right in the middle of everything. We spend our time working on consulting projects, which involves a lot of reading and writing. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it, which we actually quite like. There is always noise from the street coming through the windows, but you get used to the sound of the city after a few days. We don’t have a receptionist in a suit; usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. The team is small, and we mostly just get on with the work without making much of a fuss. We have piles of papers on the desks and a whiteboard that is always covered in notes that only we can understand. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s how we work best. People find us because they need advice on their projects, and we do our best to help them out using what we know. We aren’t interested in being a big fancy firm. We just want to stay here in Gamdevi and keep doing what we do.
