Olgas

Our shop, Olgas, is right on Colaba Causeway, which is basically one of the busiest places you could choose to be in. We are situated at 111/A, directly opposite Cusrow Baug. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know the chaos—tourists everywhere, people selling stuff on the sidewalks, and the constant sound of horns. We’re in the Chavan Baug area of the Po, and it’s an old building with a lot of character, though the plumbing is always acting up. The space inside is quite narrow, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into it over the years. We spend a lot of time just watching the world go by through the front window while we wait for deliveries. It’s a bit of a juggle keeping the dust from the street off the counters, but that’s just life in Colaba. Sometimes the crowds get so thick outside that it’s hard for the courier guys to even reach our door. We’ve got a small back room where we keep the records and take our lunch breaks. It’s usually just a quick sandwich or some rice from the place next door. The rent in this part of town is no joke, but being right across from the Baug means everyone knows where we are. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team; it’s just us here every day, dealing with whatever comes through the door. It is a bit worn out inside, but it feels like home to us.
