Shah & Nahar is one of those big, busy industrial buildings in Worli. We are up on the fifth floor, in room 509. It’s always a bit of a rush in the mornings when everyone is trying to get into the elevators or find a place for their bikes outside. Off Dr. E Moses Road is where you’ll find the entrance to the estate. Inside the office, it’s mostly desks and computers and a lot of papers stacked up in piles. We’ve been here at Officedge India for a good number of years now. The windows look out over the other industrial rooftops and you can hear the city noise constantly. It isn’t the quietest place, but it’s where we get everything done. We deal with office supplies and furniture things, so there are usually boxes around or samples sitting on the tables. Our team is small, just a few people who know how the systems work and where everything is kept. It’s a functional space for us. We don’t have fancy carpets or a big lobby, just a door with our name on it and a place to sit and work. Sometimes the building gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have some fans going. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and checking on orders. It’s just how things go in an industrial estate like this one. We stay pretty busy from Monday through Saturday and usually head home once the sun goes down.
