Office Assts

Working out of the Railway Quarters in Thakurli West is a bit different than a regular office building. We are at Ma 172 B, right in Bawan Chawl. You can hear the trains passing by all the time, but you stop noticing it after a week. Office Assts is basically just a small room where we handle the admin stuff for people around here. The chawl has its own rhythm. We start early because that’s when everyone else is moving. It is a bit cramped with all the files we have to keep, but we manage. There is a lot of history in these old quarters. We spend a lot of time on the computer or just writing things out by hand when the power acts up. It's not a place for big meetings or anything like that. People just pop their heads in to check on their documents. We know most of the neighbors, so it feels more like a community thing than a business. The walls could use a bit of paint, but the work gets done regardless. Living and working in the same general area means we don't have to travel far, which is nice. We just do the basic things like organizing records and helping with forms. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week in Thakurli.
