Our place is located in A-17 Shahanshah Compound, right in Mahim East. If you know the Barma Star Bakery near the cross road, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a busy area with a lot of movement, especially with the bakery being so popular. We’ve been here for a bit now, handling all kinds of gift articles. The compound can get a bit tight with all the vehicles and people moving around, but we manage. We stock a variety of things, mostly items that people pick up for small events or to keep at home. It’s not a high-end boutique or anything like that. It’s more of a practical shop where you find what you need and we wrap it up for you. Some of the stuff is decorative, while other things are just useful. We spend a lot of our time talking to the regulars who live around Mahim. It’s a friendly neighborhood once you get to know everyone. Sometimes the lights in the compound are a bit dim in the evenings, but we stay open until we finish our work for the day. We don't have a lot of space, so things are stacked pretty high on the shelves. You have to be careful when you’re walking around so you don’t knock anything over. We take care of the inventory ourselves, and it’s a lot of manual work, moving crates and checking the stock. It’s just how we do things here every day.
