If you ever find yourself in the Antop Hill area of Mumbai, you’ll find us at Obej Technologies Private Limited. We’re on the ground floor of the Durga Chawl Committee building on Manjarekar Marg, in Indira Nagar. It’s a very Mumbai kind of spot. Being on the ground floor means we see everything that goes on in the street. Hemant is the name associated with our space here. It’s 400037, which is a busy part of the city. The office is basically just a room where we keep our equipment and sit for hours. It’s not very quiet, but that’s Mumbai for you. We deal with technology stuff, mostly things that require a lot of sitting and thinking. Sometimes we’re there late into the night when a project is due. There’s a lot of energy around Antop Hill, and it kind of rubs off on the work we do. We don't have a big sign or anything, just a small place where we can focus on the tasks at hand. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that do the trick. We’re just regular people trying to build something useful from our little corner on Manjarekar Marg. It’s not a polished corporate life, but it’s real and it works for us. We’ve got our routine, our tea breaks, and plenty of work to keep us out of trouble most days of the week.
