Our office is down on the ground floor of the Ismile Building in the Fort area. If you know Fort, you know it’s full of old buildings and lots of history. We’ve got our little corner here where we handle the lifestyle side of things. It’s not a huge space, but being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just walk in off the street. We spend our time looking at different products and trying to figure out what people might actually want to buy for their homes or themselves. It’s a lot of phone calls and looking at samples spread out on the desks. The building itself has that old Mumbai feel, and sometimes the walls are a bit damp when it rains, but we like the character of the place. We aren't a big corporate chain, just a small team trying to make a go of it. Most of the time it’s just us drinking coffee and sorting through the daily tasks. Fort is always buzzing with people, so there’s never a quiet moment outside our window. We don't put on any acts here, we just work through the orders and talk to suppliers. It’s just a regular business day for us, nothing too polished or fancy. We like being in the heart of the city where everything is happening, even if the office is a bit crowded sometimes with all our stuff. It's a messy desk kind of place, but we know where everything is. It is just the daily grind in South Mumbai.
