Our office is tucked away in the Khandke Building over on Jksawant Marg in Dadar. If you’ve ever tried to find parking around here in Mumbai, you know it’s a bit of a nightmare, so most of us just take the local train. We are right in the middle of everything in 400028, which makes it easy to grab lunch but hard to find a quiet moment with all the traffic noise outside. The building itself is an older one, number 13 11, and it has that classic Mumbai feel to it. Inside, it’s just a standard workspace with computers and files everywhere. We don’t really do anything flashy. We just handle the IT side of things, making sure systems are running like they should. Some days are slower than others, but there is usually plenty to keep the staff occupied. The elevators can be a bit temperamental, so we often end up taking the stairs. It’s a lived-in space with some scuffs on the walls and plenty of coffee mugs sitting around. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for quite a stretch. It’s not a shiny glass skyscraper, just a practical place to get work done. We know the local shops and the guys selling snacks on the corner. It feels like home after you’ve been here a few months. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to stay on top of the workload. There is always something to fix or update.
