We run this little place called Novelty Store right on Satara Road in Sion. It’s situated directly opposite Guru Nanak High School, so we see a lot of students and parents passing by every day. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, from stationery and school supplies to small toys and household gadgets. It’s the kind of place where you come in for one thing and end up looking at five other items you didn't know you needed. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The mornings are usually quiet until the school bell rings, and then it gets really hectic for an hour or so. We have shelves packed with notebooks, pens, and little gifts that kids like. My brother and I manage the counter and try to keep everything in some kind of order, though it’s hard when kids are rummaging through the toy bins. The traffic on Satara Road is always buzzing, so there’s a lot of noise and dust, but that’s just life in Sion. We don't do anything fancy with the store layout; it's just basic shelves and a lot of stock. It feels like a community hub sometimes because the neighbors stop by just to chat for a minute. We like being part of the neighborhood and providing the basic stuff people need without any extra fuss or corporate polish.
