Novelty Collection

If you look for us, we are right at number 4 near Jumma Masjid in the New Cutlery Market area of Kalbadevi. This part of the city is always crowded, especially in the afternoons when the narrow lanes get packed with people and carts. Novelty Collection is tucked in there among all the other shops selling small goods and household items. The shop itself is filled with boxes stacked up to the ceiling because space is tight. We spend a lot of time just organizing things and showing different items to whoever walks in from the street. It’s loud outside with all the vendors calling out, but inside it’s a bit more manageable even with the cramped aisles. We don't have a big fancy storefront or anything like that. Just some old glass counters and shelves that have seen better days. Usually, there’s a few of us here moving stock around or counting inventory when it’s quiet. Kalbadevi has a certain rhythm to it and we’ve just become part of that over time. The fans hum overhead and we keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through the market. It’s a simple setup for a local business. We just open up in the morning, handle the daily rush, and then lock up when the sun goes down and the market starts to clear out.
