Noor Mohammadi Hotel

Bhendi Bazar is one of those places in Mumbai that never really sleeps or stays quiet. Our hotel is at 179 Wazir Building, right at the spot where the Abdul Hakim Noor Mohammedi Chowk is. It is an old building, and you can really feel the history in the thick walls. The area is always crowded with people, cars, and the constant smell of spices and food. We have been here for a long time. The kitchen is always going, especially during the heavy lunch and dinner hours. It is loud, it is hot, and it is very busy every single day of the week. We do not have a lot of space for fancy decorations or big furniture. People come here to eat and then they move on to their work. The tables are basic and the service is fast because it has to be to keep up with the line. You can hear the noise from the street outside all the time through the windows. We see all kinds of people coming through the doors. Some have been visiting us for decades and know us by name. It is a part of the Mandvi area that hasn’t changed much in its spirit over the years. We keep things simple here. The menu is what it is, and we cook it the way we always have since the beginning. It is a bit chaotic, but that’s just Bhendi Bazar.
