Our office is up on the 13th floor of the A Wing in Vasundhara Complex, right in Sector 8 of Kharghar. Being in Navi Mumbai, we get a lot of that coastal breeze, especially since we are high up. You can see the hills in the distance on clear days, though most of the time it is just the hazy skyline of other apartment blocks. The complex is quite busy with families and other small businesses, so there is always a wait for the elevators in the morning. Inside, we have kept things very basic. There are a few desks, some filing cabinets, and a small area for making coffee. It feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes, which we do not mind. The noise from the street downstairs does not reach us much, but we can hear the trains if the windows are open. We handle a lot of the SEZ paperwork and coordination from here. It is not a place with glass partitions or shiny floors. We have some old posters on the walls and heaps of documents that need sorting. Kharghar is a growing area, so things are always changing around us, but our routine stays pretty much the same. We just show up, do the work, and try to beat the evening traffic on the way out. It is a long commute for some of us, but this office is a good, quiet spot to focus on the tasks.
