Nitin Mukesh

I’m Nitin Mukesh and I live and work up in Malabar Hill. My place is Flat No 101 in the Jyoti Building, which is a quiet spot in an otherwise very busy Mumbai. Living up here, you get a bit of a breeze from the sea, which is a nice change from the sticky heat of the lower parts of the city. The building is one of those older residential blocks that has a lot of charm but also a few quirks, like the elevator that sometimes stops an inch above the floor level. My setup is simple and integrated into my home life. I don’t have a separate corporate office because I find I work better when I’m comfortable. There’s a big window in the room where I spend most of my time, and I often find myself staring out at the trees instead of focusing on the task at hand. It’s a peaceful neighborhood, mostly residential, so you don’t get the constant noise of markets or industrial areas. My days are fairly predictable. I wake up, have breakfast, and then sit down to get through my list of things to do. I don’t really use fancy language or try to impress anyone with big titles. I just do what I do and let the results speak for themselves. Being in Malabar Hill for so long has given me a sense of stability that I really appreciate. It’s a good place to be.
