Our office is over in Powai, specifically at 501 Delta on Technology Street. Being in Hiranandani Gardens means we are surrounded by a lot of tall buildings, which makes sense for what we do at Nitin Fire Protection Industries Limited. We deal with fire stuff—extinguishers, sprinklers, and all those systems that stay hidden in the ceiling until they are actually needed. It is a serious business but we try to keep the atmosphere in the office pretty relaxed. We’ve been at this for a long time now. The building is usually buzzing with people, and we are just one of the teams working away on the fifth floor. We spend a lot of time looking at floor plans and making sure the equipment meets the rules. It’s not the most exciting thing to talk about at a party, but it is important work. We have seen how much things have changed in Powai over the years, with more offices moving in every month. We just keep doing our part, making sure the gear is ready. We don’t really do much in terms of flashy marketing. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years or other businesses in the tech park. We just show up to the office, handle the paperwork, and send the technicians out to the sites. It’s a steady rhythm and we like it that way. There is always something to do and we appreciate the regulars who keep coming back.
