Nilesh Jiwade

I’m located over at Sir Magal Apartment, right in the middle of Dadar East. I’m up in Room 704. Being near Bhoevada Naka means there is always something happening outside. My name is Nilesh Jiwade and I’ve been using this apartment for my work for quite some time. It’s a typical Mumbai setup where space is tight but you make the most of it. From the seventh floor, you get a bit of a view of the rooftops, which is nice when things get stressful. I don’t have a big team or a suite of offices. It’s just a room with a laptop, a printer, and a lot of files. The building has an old lift that’s a bit cranky, but it gets you there eventually. Dadar is the heart of the city, so it’s easy for people to reach me, even if the traffic is a nightmare. I like the grit of this area. It’s not fancy like South Mumbai, but it’s real. I don’t believe in putting on a show for anyone. When people come by, they see exactly what the business is—just me working through the pile of things on my desk. It’s practical and straightforward. No frills, just the daily grind in a busy apartment building. I’ve been here so long I can tell what time it is just by the sound of the street below. It’s my small corner of Dadar and it works for me.
