Nexus Advertising & Display

Our workshop is inside the Ashok Mill Compound on the Sion Bandra Link Road. We’re right across from where 90 Feet Road starts. It’s an old industrial compound, so there’s always something being hammered or painted nearby. We make displays and advertising boards here. There’s usually a lot of wood, metal bits, and half-empty paint cans lying around the floor. The ground is often covered in sawdust and small scraps. It isn't a clean office by any means. We wear old clothes because we’re likely to get something on them during the day. Sometimes a machine breaks and we have to spend half the morning fixing it ourselves. We don't have a fancy showroom to show off. If someone wants to see what we do, they just come into the middle of the mess. It can get very hot in the afternoons under the tin roof. We drink a lot of cold water and keep the big floor fans going. We’ve been in this compound for years. The guys here know each other well. We don't use big words to describe our work. We just build the frames and stick the signs on. It’s honest work that takes some muscle and a bit of patience. The traffic outside on the link road is always bad, but once you’re inside the compound, we just focus on whatever display we’re building that day. It's just a regular job for us.
