Sawarkar Nagar is where we’ve been operating out of for a while now. This part of Mumbai is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it. Our place at Newtech Computer Pvt Ltd is usually cluttered with parts, wires, and old boxes, but we know exactly where everything is. It might look a bit disorganized to someone walking in from the street, but that’s just the nature of dealing with hardware all day long. We deal with all sorts of computer issues, from stuff that’s easy to fix to problems that take us a few days of scratching our heads. The people who work here are locals who understand the city and how things work around here. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather spend it on better tools for the workbench. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren’t from this side of town, but we’ve got a steady stream of regulars who know us by name. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in or a server goes down, eating snacks while we finish up. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We like the fact that we can help someone get their computer working again so they can get back to their own business. That’s the way we’ve always done things here in Maharashtra.
