Neils Gifts

It is pretty quiet in the mornings at Neils Gifts. We are right by Matunga Station on Laxmi Narayan Lane in Matunga East. Most people know the spot because of the tea stall nearby. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The shelves are filled with all sorts of things, and some have been there longer than others. It is not a very big shop but we manage to fit everything in. Sometimes the boxes get stacked a bit high in the back corner. When the trains come in, the lane gets very crowded with people walking home. Some stop in to look at the trinkets or just to say hello. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open the doors and see who comes by. Matunga East is a busy area but our little lane feels a bit different. Laxmi Narayan Lane has its own regulars. We know most of the faces that pass by every day. There is a lot of dust from the street so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. We don't really do big sales or anything fancy. It is just Neils Gifts. We have some wrapping paper and small items for kids. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front. We just turn on the old fan and wait for the evening rush. It is a simple way to run a business.
