We are located in the Bramha Building, Room 112/113, right on N. M. Joshi Marg in Byculla. If you know Mumbai, you know this area near Bakari Adda is always teeming with people and traffic. Our office is part of that old Mumbai charm, tucked inside a building that has seen a lot of years. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with all the desks and equipment we have squeezed in. We do a lot of work involving banking technology and retail systems, so there are always parts and tools lying around. It’s a functional space, not a decorative one. The sounds of the street, the honking and the shouting, drift up through the windows even when they’re shut. We’ve got a small team here, and we all know each other’s habits pretty well. Most of the day is spent troubleshooting or coordinating with teams in other cities. It’s a lot of screen time and phone calls. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, and we have to take the stairs, which is quite a climb. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It’s just us in our workspace getting through the pile of tasks we have every morning. There is a small tea stall just outside where we take our breaks and talk about anything other than work for ten minutes. It’s busy, it’s a bit messy, and it’s very much a part of the daily grind in Mumbai.
