Kika Street is a very narrow lane, so you really have to be looking for it to find us at 203-205 in Gulal Wadi. It is a very crowded neighborhood, full of old buildings and people moving fast with carts and boxes. We have been here in the middle of all this chaos for a long time. The shop is quite small and we have a lot of items packed into the cabinets and drawers. It isn’t the kind of place where you have a lot of room to walk around or lounge. We mostly deal with people who have been coming to this specific market for many years. There is always noise coming from the street, like bells and horns and people arguing over the price of things. We just keep our heads down and focus on our jewels and the work at hand. We don’t have a website that looks like a movie. We just have our old ledger books and our weighing scales. My uncle usually sits at the front to greet people, and I stay near the back to handle the inventory. We don't use fancy words to describe what we sell. We just tell people what it is and what the fair price is. Sometimes we share a meal with the shop owners next door because we’ve all been in this lane together for so long. It gets a bit dusty here, but it’s our place.
