The National Spot Exchange Ltd Spot Division M C X has its office at Flat No 201 in the A 1 Building of Shanti Dham. This is on Meera Road East, in the Thane district near Mumbai. It is a bit away from the main hub of the city, but Meera Road is always buzzing with its own crowd. Being in an apartment building like Shanti Dham means the office feels a bit more like a home-based operation, even though we are dealing with exchange matters. We are on the second floor. The space is filled with computers and screens because that is what the work requires. We spend a lot of time looking at data and keeping track of things. It is not the kind of place with a big shiny lobby. It is just a flat that has been converted into a workspace. We have our desks lined up and there is usually a lot of clicking of keyboards. Sometimes the noise from the street comes in through the windows, but we are used to it by now.
