There is always someone shouting or a bike honking right outside the window. Our office is a bit older, with heavy doors and a ceiling fan that has been humming for years. We focus on safety standards and making sure everyone follows the right rules. It sounds dry, but it keeps us busy from morning till late evening. We have stacks of manuals and safety posters everywhere you look. Most days are spent answering queries or sorting through documents sent in from various industries. People drop by without appointments sometimes just to ask for a specific form. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight for most of us. We aren't tucked away in some shiny glass tower; we are right here in the thick of the local market. It gets dusty, and the traffic is a nightmare, but this is home. We handle the registrations and the safety guidelines for the city and beyond. Sometimes the filing cabinets get stuck, but we manage. It’s a regular job with regular people trying to make things a little more orderly in a chaotic city. We just stay focused on the tasks on our desks and finish the logs before heading out.
