Nashra Technology Consulting (P) Ltd. is tucked away in Mehta Chambers, which is at number 37 on Love-Lane in Mazagoan. It’s an old part of Mumbai with a lot of history and tall trees that hang over the road. Our office is on one of the upper floors, and the elevator is a bit temperamental, so most of us just take the stairs. It’s not a big glass building like you see in the new parts of the city. We have some sturdy desks, a bunch of computers, and cables running along the floor. We spend our days looking at screens and talking about tech problems. It gets quite humid here being so close to the docks, so the air conditioning is always humming in the background. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm out there. We just like solving puzzles and helping people figure out their systems. Love-Lane is usually jammed with cars, so we hear a lot of honking while we work. Lunch is usually something picked up from a local stall or brought from home in a tiffin. We don't have a fancy lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and someone will look up from their monitor to say hello. It’s a bit messy with old servers and boxes in the corner, but we get the consulting work done. Most of us have been here long enough that the office feels like a second home.
