Running a construction business from Grand Road East means you are always in the thick of it. Nandish Construction Co is based at number 10, and our office is usually a bit of a mess with site maps, rolls of blueprints, and samples of tile or stone. It’s loud outside because of the traffic, and the phone seems to ring every five minutes with someone asking about a delivery or a delay at a site. We spend a lot of time on the move, going from the office to wherever the current project is. Our office is just a place to handle the paperwork and meet with contractors to argue about schedules and labor. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes we wonder why we do it, but then you see a wall go up or a roof finished and it feels okay.
