Nandan Petrochem Ltd

Working at Nandan Petrochem Ltd in Nehru Nagar, Mumbai, is always an experience because of the location. We are at 99 3469, and let me tell you, Mumbai traffic around this area can be a real headache some mornings when you are trying to get in on time. Our office is a busy place where the phones don't seem to stop ringing for very long. We deal with a lot of industrial stuff, so there’s always talk about drums, liters, and delivery schedules. The space is filled with the smell of paper and maybe a bit of oil from the samples we keep in the back room. We have these big metal cupboards full of old files that we really should digitize one day but nobody wants to start. Lunchtime is when we all sit together and talk about anything except work, mostly complaining about the local trains or the heavy rain during monsoon. The office isn't one of those high-rise buildings you see in movies; it’s a practical space where we get the job done. We have a small pantry where the kettle is almost always on because we drink way too much chai during the day. Sometimes the logistics guys are shouting over the noise of the trucks outside to make sure the loading is done correctly. It’s a lot of coordination and moving parts, but we’ve been doing it for years now. It feels like a second home to most of us who work here and spend so many hours together.
