Being in the 400007 zip code means we are right in the thick of things in South Mumbai. Our office is up on the seventh floor, so we spend a fair amount of time waiting for the elevator every morning. Once you get inside, it’s a typical Mumbai office space—functional and a bit compact. We’ve set up our desks to make the most of the room we have, and it’s a busy place during the day. We don’t have any high-end designer interiors or fancy artwork on the walls. The office is a bit plain, with some filing cabinets and a small area for making tea and coffee, which we do quite often. The windows look out over the rooftops of Tardeo, and you can always hear the hum of the city traffic below. It’s not the quietest place, but it has a lot of energy. We don’t have a big reception area or a formal dress code. We just show up, sit at our desks, and get to work. Most of us take our lunch breaks at the small local eateries nearby or bring something from home. It’s a straightforward, no-nonsense environment where we focus on our tasks without any of the corporate fluff you might find elsewhere.
