Our office is tucked away in Jalnidhi Society over in Bangur Nagar, Goregaon West. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always noise from the street, but once you’re inside the society gates, it gets a bit quieter. We’re in D6, room 6. It’s a functional space, nothing like those glass buildings you see in BKC. We have some files stacked up in the corner and a few plants that probably need more water than they get. Working in Goregaon means we’re always checking the train schedules or worrying about the traffic on the Link Road. Most of us live nearby, so we just walk or take an auto. We handle consulting work, which basically means people come to us with problems and we try to sort them out using what we know. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that drives us crazy, but we forget about it when we’re busy. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to do right by the people who walk through our door. Lunch usually comes from the local dabba service or someone brings extra parathas to share. It’s a simple setup, really. We’ve been at this address for a good bit of time now, and the neighbors know us. It feels like home, just with more computers and less napping.
