Getting to Gala No. 62 on the upper floor isn't too hard once you find Naik Nagar. We are right on L.B.S. Road, which is always noisy with cars and buses honking. If you see the Sangam Hotel, you're pretty much there because we are tucked away right behind it. Being near Sion Railway Station means there's always a big crowd of people walking past outside. We spend a lot of time just managing the limited space we have here. It’s an upper-floor unit, so we end up carrying things up and down the stairs quite a bit. The stairs are narrow, so you really have to be careful when two people are trying to pass each other with boxes. Most of our day is spent checking things and making sure everything is where it should be on the shelves. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer, but we have a couple of fans that help a little. The hotel nearby is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. Sometimes the smells from the kitchen there drift over into our gala. We've been in this spot for a good while and the neighbors around us are all okay. We don't have a big reception area or any fancy chairs. It’s just a working space with stuff piled up. We keep the doors open mostly to catch a breeze. It is a humble place for us.
