We are Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporationmumbai and you can find us at A 4 in the Neelesh Coophsgsocltd building. That’s located at 142 Senapati Bapat Marg, right in the heart of Mahim West. It’s a busy street, as anyone who lives in Mumbai knows. There’s always the sound of horns and people walking by. Our office isn't some high-tech lab. It’s a standard room in a housing society where we’ve set up our equipment and files. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the tea guy comes around twice a day which is the highlight for most of us. We deal with a lot of coordination for the rail projects, but we do it from this modest little corner in Mahim. It’s convenient for the train station, which makes sense for what we do. We’ve been at this address for quite some time, and we’ve seen the shops on Senapati Bapat Marg change owners more times than we can count. We stay the same, though. Just a group of people working on the city’s infrastructure without making a big deal out of it. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the windows, but we just turn the fans up and keep going. It’s an honest day’s work in a part of town that feels like home to all of us.
