Mr Sk Nagpal

I have been running things from Flat No 8 in the Kamal Kunj Apartment for quite some time now. This building is right in Khar West, and most people find it easily because it is directly opposite the Jay Bharat Society. It is a quiet residential area, which I prefer over the busier parts of the city. My office is basically just a room in the apartment. It is not some sleek corporate setup with a glass front. I have a sturdy wooden desk, a couple of chairs for visitors, and shelves that are starting to bow under the weight of old files. There is a small balcony where I keep some potted plants, though I often forget to water them. The view from there is mostly just the street below and the trees in the society across the road. Usually, the day starts with me sorting through the mail and catching up on whatever paperwork came in the day before. It is just a one-man show for the most part, so I do everything myself. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to say hello or ask for a bit of help with something. I have lived and worked in this part of Mumbai for years, so I know the local shops and the people around here quite well. It is a simple life and a simple way to work. I don't see the need for a big fancy office when this flat serves me just fine.
