Movie World

Our office is over in Andheri West at Premchand Nagar, specifically in room 102. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this area gets. There’s always noise from the street and people rushing to get somewhere. We’ve been in this building for a few years now. It’s a small space, but we have everything we need to manage our movie projects. There are posters taped to the walls and stacks of hard drives on the desks. We don’t have a fancy sign or a big entrance. You just find the door and come in. It gets pretty cramped when there are more than three of us inside, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working on the computer. We aren't some big studio with a lot of money to burn. We are just a small group of people who like movies and found a way to work in the industry. The neighborhood has a lot of good food stalls, so we usually grab something quick for lunch and eat at our desks. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we have to take the stairs, which isn't great in the humidity. We don’t have a mission statement or anything like that. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and head home when it’s late. It’s a lot of long hours, but that’s just the way things are in this business.
