You can find us at 41 Kandivali East, right on Lbs Marg in the Thakur Complex. We are situated directly opposite the HDFC Bank, which makes it easy for people to locate us. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with books of all kinds. It has that specific smell that only old and new books mixed together can create. We spend a lot of our time dusting the shelves and trying to keep everything in some kind of order, though it often ends up looking a bit cluttered. That is part of the charm, we think. People come in looking for school books, novels, or sometimes just something to read on the train. We do our best to help them find what they need, even if we have to dig through a few stacks to get there. The Thakur Complex area is always humming with activity, and we get a lot of students and parents dropping by after school. It is not a huge space, so things can get a bit tight when there are more than five people inside. We have a small counter where we handle the payments and wrap books in brown paper if someone asks. It is a simple life surrounded by pages and ink. We have been here in Kandivali East for years, and we have seen many of the neighborhood kids grow up and start buying books for their own children now.
