Montu Creation

You can find Montu Creation on the 2nd floor over in Darukhana, Malad West. Being on the second floor means we don't get much foot traffic from the street, but that’s okay with us. Most people who come here already know what they are looking for or have an appointment. The stairs are a bit steep and can be tiring if you're carrying heavy rolls of material up and down. Malad West is a very busy part of the suburbs and it’s always moving. Up here, it’s a bit away from the street noise, but you can still hear the trains in the distance every few minutes. We have a lot of sewing machines and large wooden tables for our layout work. The lighting is mostly fluorescent tubes that hum a little. It’s not a pretty office for visitors. It’s a place where things are actually made. We have piles of scrap fabric in the corners and thread spools everywhere. We often stay late to finish up work when there is a big deadline coming. We don't have a receptionist or anyone like that to greet you. Usually, you’ll just see us working when you walk in. The walls could really use a new coat of paint, but we haven't had the time to get to it. We drink a lot of chai to keep going during the long shifts. It’s a hardworking environment.
