Mobile Dot Com

We opened Mobile Dot Com here on Mumbai Timber Market Road a good few years back. It’s a busy spot with all the trucks and wood moving around, but we found our place in this corner. Most mornings start with a bit of dust and a lot of noise from the street. We just set up the counter, turn on the lights, and wait for whoever needs help with their phone. Sometimes people just walk in because they’re passing by on the way to the market. We aren't a big fancy place with glass walls or anything. It’s just a small shop where we keep things organized the way we like. Most of the folks who come here live nearby or work in the timber yards. We talk about the weather or how traffic is getting worse on the road while we look at their devices. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a small fan going. It’s nothing special, just a regular workplace. We handle whatever comes through the door, from cracked screens to buttons that don’t click anymore. Some days are packed and other days we just sit and watch the rain or the people walking past. It’s how it goes here in Mumbai. We’ve stayed at the same address because people know where to find us. If you’re walking down Timber Market Road, you’ll see our sign. It’s been there long enough that the paint is starting to fade a little bit.
