Mithai Lal Bishwakarma Garage is tucked away in Kholsa Bunder, over by Sewri. If you’re coming from the railway station, you just head towards Rizvi Nagar on T P S Road. We are pretty close to the Hindustan Lever Company, which is the big landmark everyone knows around here. The garage is usually full of tools, spare parts, and whatever car or bike we are working on at the moment. It’s greasy and loud, exactly what you’d expect from a place where engines get fixed. I started this place because I like working with my hands and fixing things that people thought were broken for good. There’s no fancy waiting room with air conditioning here. You usually just stand around or find a stool while we take a look under the hood. The dust from the road comes in, and we’re always wiping our hands on old rags before we touch anything else. We don't do much advertising; most people just hear about us from their neighbors or see us while they're passing by the station. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to work. We just take things one engine at a time. It’s honest work, getting people back on the road so they can get to where they need to go. We’ve seen all kinds of vehicles over the years, some in really bad shape, but we do what we can to fix them up right.
