Midas Touch

Down at the Parvati Industrial Estate, things are always a bit noisy and dusty. Our place, Midas Touch, is situated on Puna Kumbharia Road, right near the Kassam Hussain P Chawls. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything pretty. There’s usually the sound of machinery running nearby and the smell of grease and metal in the air. We spend most of our time in work clothes, dealing with whatever comes through the door. It’s a tough environment, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We aren't some high-tech firm with a glass building. Our space is functional and maybe a bit messy at times. There are tools laying around and stacks of materials waiting to be processed. We work long hours, often starting before the sun is fully up and staying until the streetlights are on. The neighborhood around the chawls is always busy with people moving around. We don't do much in terms of advertising; most people find us because they work nearby or someone told them we could help. It’s a lot of physical labor and getting our hands dirty every single day. We don't mind it much. It feels good to actually make things or fix things with your own two hands instead of sitting at a desk all day. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get it done properly before the day ends.
