Microtek Okaya

Our office is situated in the Sunmill Compound, specifically at Balajee Exim in the Todi Estate. Being in Lower Parel means we are in a part of Mumbai that has changed a lot over the years. It used to be mostly all mills, and now it is a mix of everything you can imagine. We work out of a space that feels very much like old Mumbai, even as the new glass towers go up all around us. We handle a lot of different things related to our products, and it can get pretty hectic on Monday mornings. The commute into Lower Parel is always a struggle, but once we are inside the compound, things settle down into a predictable routine. We spend our time checking inventory, dealing with orders, and talking to people on the phone. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we do to get by. The office is a bit cramped because we have to store a lot of samples and paperwork in the same room. We do not have a fancy lounge or anything like that. Usually, we just eat our tiffin at our desks and chat about whatever is happening in the news. There is a lot of noise from the street, but you get used to it after a week or two. We are not a huge team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything.
