Micro Brass Components

We have our small workshop located at 5/2 on M.G. Road in the Sai Baba Nagar area of Kandivali West. This is where we make various small components out of brass. The shop is filled with the sound of machines running and the smell of cut metal and oil. It’s not a clean or quiet place to spend the day, as there are always brass shavings on the floor and the clinking of finished parts falling into bins. We spend most of our time standing at the lathes or checking the measurements of the pieces we produce. Everything we make is quite small, so you have to be careful with the details or the whole batch gets ruined. M.G. Road is a busy street, so we hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. We don't have any sales people or a fancy office for meetings; we just work right here among the machines. The people who buy from us usually know exactly what they need, so we just focus on getting the dimensions right. It’s hard work and the shop can get quite warm in the summer months, but we are used to the routine by now. We’ve been in Kandivali West for a good while, and we just keep our heads down and do the machining. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, even if our hands are always a bit greasy from the material.
