We run Metro Infra Structure Projects Solutions I Pvt Ltd out of the Mayfair Meridian building on Ceasar Road. It’s over in Andheri West, which means we are right in the middle of all the Mumbai hustle. Our office is in the Mips section, and it’s usually filled with rolls of blueprints and stacks of project files. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our time on the phone or sitting in meetings talking about construction schedules and materials. Andheri traffic is a real nightmare, so we often end up staying late just to avoid the rush hour. The office has a good view of the street, so we watch the rain during the monsoon while we work on our spreadsheets. It’s a small group of us here, and we’ve been through a lot of projects together. We don't really go for the corporate look; most of us just wear comfortable clothes and focus on getting the details right. Sometimes a project hits a snag and we have to scramble to fix it, which means a lot of stressed-out lunches at our desks. We aren't trying to change the world, we're just trying to make sure the infrastructure projects we handle are finished properly. It’s a lot of practical, everyday problem-solving. The office coffee isn't great, but it keeps us going through the long afternoons.
