Meezan Corporation

Meezan Corporation is located in the Suthriwala Building on Bapu Khote Street. We are right on the first floor at Shop No. 1, and there is a flat above us too. Being near the Pydhonie Police Station means there is always something going on outside our door. This area of Mumbai is famous for being packed with shops and people carrying heavy loads on their heads. Our space is quite old, with high ceilings and walls that have seen many layers of paint over the years. We mostly handle wholesale trade, so there are always crates and cardboard boxes stacked up against the walls. It gets very hot in the afternoons, and the ceiling fans never seem to go fast enough. We have a small desk near the entrance where we sit and talk to the people who come in. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking the manifests for new arrivals. The street outside is so narrow that the delivery vans have a hard time getting through, so there is always a lot of shouting and horn-honking. We have a small kitchen area in the back where we make tea for whoever visits. It is not a fancy corporate office at all. It is just a place where we do our business, count our stock, and wait for the evening rush to die down. We have been in this building for quite a while and know all the local shortcuts.
